Reminded me of a Robert Frost poem -

A Minor Bird

I have wished a bird would fly away,

And not sing by my house all day;

Have clapped my hands at him from the door

When it seemed as if I could bear no more.

The fault must partly have been in me.

The bird was not to blame for his key.

And of course there must be something wrong

In wanting to silence any song.

Thank you Rahul for sharing this lovely poem.

About birds- sunbirds, bulbuls, prinias come to my drumstick tree everyday and it is so heartwarming to listen to their chirping ❤️❤️❤️

This was a delight to read. Slice of humour that. I always wonder how people have such courage to sing so freely (in the sense if they know that the others could possibly hear them. Enjoyed the songs mentioned here, and would love to see your playlist of the music you play in an essay in the future hopefully :)

Thank you Siddhesh. Thank you finding the humour in it. One day I will write about the music I play, thank you for the prompt and for your curiosity.

Took me a while to read this in one go. Something or the other kept interrupting. Thanks for sharing this. There's this saying "Someone reading a book you like is like the book recommending the person." Well, to be honest that has happened a few times. And some have been quite good. Similarly, you neighbour recommending songs or singing songs aligning with your taste or recommending new ones, seem similar. Appreciate your patience tho. And wonderfully captured.

Thank you for reading closely Amit.

Just shared a screenshot - this reminded me of our singing neighbor situation

Too good

This is both funny and heart-warming. The line about your neighbour playing the flute badly had me in splits. 😂

Thank you for laughing Rohan. It is an unintended effect 😅. But, means a lot.

Lovely writing Rakhi!

Made me listen to Bandish Bandit album again and I love that song - Virah!

Thank you so much Avinash. Yeah that song is just too good, but too very short 🥲

What a sweet essay. For some reason I was reminded of LunchBox ♥️

Thank you so much Shruthi. To think that my essay and “Lunchbox”could be said in the same breath. I am floored. 🙇🏽‍♀️🙇🏽‍♀️🙇🏽‍♀️
